If using
SOLIDWORKS Electrical Schematics; in order to safeguard against losing any data we recommend to regularly produce a backup of all of your projects within the program. This has the additional benefit of saving any configured title blocks, symbols, manufactured parts etc too. The option to execute the backup is "archive environment" found on the file menu (not to be confused with archive within the project manager!).
When clicked, you then tick all of the things that you want to essentials "zip up". Following this, cycle through the tabs and click "finish" to create the environment archive. If done regularly, say every week then you can have a point in time that you can always revert back to should you have any problems such as accidentally deleting projects, symbols or parts! "Unarchive Environment" can be used to restore your settings, just browse for the relevant archive file.
