It’s What’s New time again! With SOLIDWORKS Composer we get
two releases per year, find out about the time saving new automatic “Animation
Tools” Workshop in SOLIDWORKS Composer 2016 SP3.
With SOLIDWORKS Composer we get two releases per year, one
to coincide with the latest release of SOLIDWORKS in October each year with
support for the latest version files and some minor additions. Then with either
service pack 2 or 3 each year we get another
release with some new features.
This time the biggest new feature is the “Animation Library”
Workshop, this allows for the automatic creation of common animations such as
highlighting a component or unscrewing a bolt/screw etc...
It’s much easier to demonstrate this live so the method for
using the new time saving tool is shown in the below 1 minute video.
You can also create custom animations with some XML code
knowledge, details on this are in the help files, I haven’t tried it myself yet
but that is next on my list!
The most notable other new feature is the addition of
Firefox (Microsoft Windows only) compatibility Interactive Composer Player HTML
files. Note that the Composer Player must be installed for this to work, the
plugin is automatically added when this is installed.
If you are after full cross browser
compatibility Solid Solutions Support can add you to request 833210 and for now the best bet is interactive
SVG files as per our website.
