“Supporting our customers and ensuring their success has
always been key to the way we generate long-term and mutual lifetime
value. Our customers love how we support
them; they interact with us daily more than in most B2B customer-supplier
relationships and we strive to deliver excellence in engineering
and product
development.”
– Alan Sampson, CEO at Solid Solutions
Following the rapid growth of our
Entrepreneur Program customers, who continually transition to commercial licences, we expanded our offer to business incubators such as the
Central Research Laboratory, a subsidiary of U+I Plc, originally started in Hayes by EMI records. They are the UK’s first purpose built
hardware accelerator, assisting entrepreneurs in product manufacturing, preparation for investment and crowdfunding campaigns.
CRL is a hub for hardware innovation. They work with an array of Small to Medium Enterprises supporting them with product development, prototyping and business mentoring, along with a small amount of investment, during a six-month period.
They also offer a co-working space with access to workshop facilities and a network of partners. This ranges from a single “hot desk” space to an entire studio. Their community members range from sole founders designing jewellery to larger businesses creating customer service robots.
CRL is predominantly funded with public sector money, so the need to access a leading 3D CAD software was pivotal for them. By partnering with us and signing up to our Entrepreneur Program, CRL will now be able to offer their residents access to products such as SOLIDWORKS Flow, SOLIDWORKS CAM and SOLIDWORKS PCB.
“The benefits to us will be massive. The software we are getting offers so much that you can never know enough, so having the support from Solid Solutions will be invaluable to us. This will greatly improve our business, especially having a professional standard piece of software such as SOLIDWORKS”, says Simon Hayden, Workshop Manager at Central Research Laboratory.
