November bought around the end of the Solid Solutions Internship induction. With our interns now having completed a rigorous 16-week induction program.
That has covered all of the Silver Passport courses, a comprehensive technical support induction, training workshops with our most experienced trainers and a project aimed at solving problems caused by Hybrid working. Getting interns to use SOLIDWORKS in anger for the very first time after learning their new skills.
They are now getting stuck in with helping on the support desks, delivering the first training courses & looking forward to our upcoming team socials!

“I’m very pleased to have finished the placement induction period here. It’s been a great few months in which I’ve learned a lot and I now feel like an integrated and important member of the Solid Solutions team.
Starting this role with no prior experience of SOLIDWORKS certainly made the first few weeks challenging, but the induction program is excellently mapped out to provide plenty of support and guidance whenever I needed it.
Some of the key highlights for me have been the individual project where we all had to design and model anything of our choosing, the group project where we had the chance to work closely with an intern in another office, teaching my first course and finally, the amazing summer social (even though it was pouring with rain most of the day).
All in all, my placement so far has been terrific and I’m very excited to continue developing my skills and knowledge over the remainder of the year..”

During the induction some brilliant models were created during some personal projects, here are a few renders created by our new team members that show just how far their skills have progressed already.
